Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - January 20, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 15th Birthday, Eddie Johnson!

Our Johnson clan cousin will be happy to join the club for first-level drivers next week, since he couldn’t take the test today; and he’s apparently having a happy day without any help from us.  The Carringtons had a vid-chat with him this morning, but there isn’t a major family event or anything happening for him because he’s having a party with friends instead.

Moving along to our personal news, we had a lot of fun last night with our best friends, Mom, and with Dad too once he got home from Crystal Springs.  Our dinner-for-seven was good; we multi-tasked the clean-up with a vid-chat with Cassie and Michael that happened while they were transitioning from a Saturday morning meeting to a work-lunch on their Saturday; and then we moved on to some music fun until Dad got home.  Mom and Dad joined us for a movie in the lounge after we helped to get Dad’s luggage into the house; they went to bed after that; and the six tweens in the house stayed up too-late watching movies and enjoying the co-ed cuddling until we were ready to crash and nap for a few hours.  Aiden and I opted for the nesting on the floor, but that isn’t really less-comfortable than the sectional sofa anyway; so we don’t mind taking our turns as a trade-off for adding Sophia and Aaron to our little gang.

While we slept, Cassie and Michael enjoyed some sightseeing for the rest of their Saturday after wrapping up their work schedule by early-afternoon.  The weather was great for them; they enjoyed the sun and fun along the coast; and their sightseeing was all about outdoor adventures – including for their dinner break.  While we’re on the topic anyway, they had a bit of work in the Sydney area for their Sunday, but then they headed toward their next major destination – Melbourne.  They’ll only be driving about half-way there so that they can keep the sightseeing going too and do some work in the Holbrook area on their Monday before moving on to Melbourne.  We’ll have more on that when we get the next updates from them, but that’s enough for our second-hand news; and you can get the details directly from Cassie’s and Michael’s journals and other travel reports elsewhere in the archives anyway.

Our Saturday hasn’t been as-exciting as their Saturday had already been by the time we woke up; and we won’t mention why they might have been having too-much fun for a vid-chat with us for our breakfast and around midnight their time!  We had fun with Tai Chi and breakfast with Mom, Dad, and our friends; we took care of the clean-up; and then all of our friends headed for their homes or elsewhere while we were put to work on chores around the house for the rest of the morning.  Ethan and I went to play at the lab or archives after lunch since Dad needed to work in the office anyway; and then we had a quiet dinner with Mom and Dad after getting back from our books-or-beakers fun.  Since then, we’ve done a Magi lesson with Mom; worked on family business or charity projects after that; and now we’re winding down with the usual bedtime computing and twin chat after bath or Jacuzzi time.

It doesn’t feel late compared to last night, but we need to catch up on some sleep; so that’s all for tonight.  It is still very cold out, but will be warming up as we head into the first of the week; so maybe we’ll be ready to spend some time outside after a week or so of mostly wanting to stay inside as much as possible.  We’ll keep you posted on that too, so stay tuned for that while we move on to nap time now.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
