Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - March 5, 2023

Ethan and Ehlana:

This update is coming to you during our normal bedtime twin chat and computing; and we’ll be in our own beds tonight too!

We had a lot of fun yesterday afternoon after meeting up with Naomi and Aiden.  We biked on some of the main trails – including out toward Quarry Lake for a while; we picked up treats and had our snack by the river; and we had some playground fun with some of our favorite younger cousins and their friends.  By the time we got back to Aiden’s house, his Dad was there; we helped him with cooking dinner and entertaining Hailey and Leah; and then we enjoyed that meal once Hannah got home from the bakery too.  Naomi really wants to trade Zack and Eli for Hailey and Leah, and this time that was because of the major difference between last night and Friday night.  Hannah wouldn’t go for that deal – not even for occasional sleepover nights; so we had to settle for having an awesome night that included playing a board game and watching a movie.  Hailey and Leah headed for bed after the first movie, and so did Aiden’s parents; so we watched a second movie; enjoyed the co-ed cuddle time; and then wrapped up our happy day with the co-ed sofa sleepovers that we really love a lot.

Tai Chi this morning needed to be indoors, but the weather today has been awesome; and the highs got very close to seventy – in early-March!  We had and helped to cook a hot breakfast; took turns with the work and getting ready for church; and then we had a really good morning at church and Sunday school.  We’re transitioning into the Easter ‘season’ too; so the messages and lessons are now leading up toward Easter, and while it feels a bit early for it; planning is already pretty much done for the work we’ll help out with for creating the sets and costumes for the teens to use for the services they’ll lead or help out with over the holiday weekend.

After church, we went home for lunch; and then we met up with Naomi and Aiden – and quite a few friends and cousins – for outdoor play time.  We biked, played games, hung out at the playground, and occasional did some of those things with parents that took a break to play with us – including Mom and Dad.  All of our afternoon adventures added up to awesome, if not newsworthy, and then we came home in time to help Mom with making dinner and then enjoying that meal with Dad while he took another break from his weekend homework.  Ehlana and I took care of the clean-up; we spent an hour or so with Mom and Dad in the office that included a Magi lesson; and then it was bath or Jacuzzi time because we really needed to get cleaned up after our warm-weather play time.  Now we’re winding down toward an early bedtime, and we need that too; so let’s wrap this up and do that now.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
