Ethan and Ehlana:
This is another early update because we’re about to head out to a birthday party; so let’s get right to it!
The rest of the news from yesterday is that we helped out with getting ready for our dinner guests – including cooking the meal; we had a blast with the food fun, and while we had to share Cassie and Michael; getting to be with them made everyone happy. Since we had most of the available hometown family and some friends with us, the clean-up that followed wasn’t as much fun, but then we watched a movie in the living room – except for the kids that wanted to play video games in the lounge instead. The kid-choice movie was entertaining, but we loved the co-ed cuddle time and chance to chat with some of our favorite people.
The decision to keep a gang of kids had been made by dinnertime and overnight bags had been rounded up, so after the movie; most of the parents left and were looking forward to kid-free nights. We were in on the rounds of goodbyes, hugs, and kisses; and then we headed upstairs to hang out with our cousins and friends. Cassie and Michael joined us and helped out with keeping everyone entertained; we stayed up too-late; and then there were no co-ed sleepovers for the tweens in the house. We did wrap up our day with a bedtime chat and cuddle with Naomi and Aiden on Ehlana’s bed before we split up and got some sleep, but the lounge was in-use all night by the boys that tried to play video games all night – and didn’t succeed.
They did stay up later than the rest of us; slept in late; and even had breakfast saved for them after the rest of us had eaten, cleaned up, and done some chores too – or moved on to their own homes or elsewhere.
We haven’t had any rain so far today, but we’ve also only reached the mid-fifties now; and it was cooler this morning. A bit of biking time still happened once we were set free for the day, and we did that from late-morning to a late lunch because we also needed to get ready for the birthday party – and pack for spending the night at Aiden’s house. We’re not going to get to see Cassie and Michael for the rest of the day, but then they’re booked with his family anyway; so we wouldn’t have seen them until tomorrow morning at church. Natalie Morris is having a co-ed party, and while her birthday is tomorrow; the party is today and she’ll be keeping a couple of best friends for the night too. We still have time to get to Natalie’s house, but that’s all we have for today; and the party and co-ed sleepover news can wait for our weekend wrap-up report. Stay tuned; and we’ll get out there and live those adventures we’ll write about next time!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
