Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve had an awesome day! The highlights included the early Pizzeria pizza day at school; the Christmas concert that included the song with our class and the song we did with Naomi and the Holiday Harmonies. The work we did after school to get ready for the incoming storm and deep freeze wasn’t as much fun, but it wasn’t nasty out; so even hauling wood for the fireplace was no big deal – and we had most of the work finished at three homes by the time we stopped for a late dinner at our house with three sets of parents and one sister.
Naomi and Aiden are staying here tonight, since school has already officially been closed for Thursday and Friday. As of the most-recent forecast update, we might not get as much snow now, but there will still be wind chill temperatures reaching near thirty-below with winds that will keep the snow blowing and visibility low; so we’re going to enjoy the bonus days tacked on to our Christmas break!
We’re done with the work; Naomi and Aiden are taking their turns showering or soaking in the Jacuzzi; and we’re getting our computing out of the way while waiting for them – and for Cassie and Michael to get home. We’re all going to watch a Christmas movie; four of us are going to stay up too-late; and the co-ed sofa sleepover will be an awesome way to end our final school day of the year. While we move on to do all of that; here are our Christmas music picks for the day.
