Ethan and Ehlana:
Getting up early to see Dad off on his trip to the city is a bit different when we get to have Cassie and Michael around while he’s away; so our parting this morning was mostly-fun without as much of the usual sadness. Having a nap after that was an option; Tai Chi was indoors and at the normal time; and then we had a standard school-day breakfast before heading off to our academic adventures while Mom, Cassie, and Michael were able to move on to their own work and other fun. For Cassie and Michael, the work included wrapping up some T.A. duties that were all exams-related, but they also spent a lot of the day with his family – either with the kids or helping out at the Pizzeria.
We got to have fun with them after school because they were babysitting kids when we got to the house; and Naomi and Aiden helped us out with providing some of the entertainment for everyone with our band practice and then some play time with toddler and baby-rated toys while we watched Christmas cartoons in the lounge. Cassie and Michael moved on after that to help with the dinner rush at the Pizzeria, but then they came home for the rest of the evening to hang out with us – and with Mom. Naomi and Aiden stayed for a movie, but then they went home and we walked them there while taking Silkie along for her bedtime outdoor break.
Since getting home, we’ve spent more time talking with Cassie and Michael than doing anything else, but there was another movie playing while we did that; and we loved getting the bonus quiet time with them. Now we’re all ready to get some sleep; they’ve already gone to bed; and we’ll be crashing soon. That’s all we have for tonight. It has been another really good day; and we hope for more of the same for the rest of the week – and through the rest of the year and holidays!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
