Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve had a long, amazing day; so let’s get to all of the news since our early report yesterday!
The pot-luck dinner coincided with wrapping up the pre-cooking for the day, so we were all ready for that break by then; we enjoyed the food variety and chat time with some of our favorite people; and then most of our guests headed for their own homes while we – and Naomi and Aiden – took care of most of the clean-up. We moved on from there to a band practice while waiting for Cassie and Michael to get home; and then the Christmas movie and chat time with them in the lounge was definitely a favorite part of our day. The co-ed sofa sleepover was awesome too; so our day ended as amazingly as it had started while waking up from the co-ed cuddle and nap time on Friday night! ;^)
Getting to share Tai Chi with extra exercise buddies is always great; Dad went with another hot breakfast – even though Cassie and Michael did a family breakfast with his parents, Jake, Stephanie, and their kids. Church and Sunday school were extended adventures; and we were extra-busy with final touches on the set-up for the teen Christmas show. It was nearly-noon by the time we headed for home; we had a snack lunch; and then we spent the afternoon with Naomi and Aiden while Dad was busy with his post-trip work and Mom kept him company – and possibly distracted him too-often while they were on their own for a few hours. We split our time between the bakery, some shopping at the Galleria; and a mid-afternoon Pizzeria pizza snack break. Naomi and Aiden were with their own families for dinner, and Cassie and Michael were busy; so it was just four of us for dinner at home. We did that early-enough to take care of the clean-up and then get ready for the Christmas show at the church; and then we enjoyed another awesome holiday spectacular from the teens – along with the post-show treats and drinks in the fellowship hall that followed all of the music, skits, and Christmas-themed entertainment.
Since getting home from the church, we did a Magi lesson with Mom; took care of bath or Jacuzzi time; and did a bedtime chat with Cassie and Michael once they got home too – this time from a bedtime visit to the Norton farm. Now we’re ready to get some sleep, so here are a couple of Christmas songs to help us move on into dreamland. Enjoy them whenever you’re reading this in our future; and we’ll get rested up for our final week of school ahead of the Christmas break!
