Stacey Bassett was born today, she is happy and healthy; and congratulations to the Bassett and Jennings clans too!
Happy 41st Birthday, Philip Seager!
Those are our top stories of the day; and we were very involved with Mr. Seager’s special day – including special treats at school; the birthday dinner party at the Inn; and the bonus fun that went along with game night at the Inn and the co-ed sleepover we’re just getting to now while we are doing our part for the kid-free night that Naomi’s parents are getting to wrap up her father’s birthday. A cold night transitioned into a slightly-warmer day – not a bad start for December; and that helped to make for a happier day for everyone around here. Birthday surprises for Naomi’s Dad included gifts on his desk first thing this morning and after lunch; bakery treats at lunch; and several rounds of hugs and kisses from Naomi and Ehlana.
We helped out with kid control after school while some parents decorated one of the small dining rooms for the birthday dinner; that ‘job’ continued during the meal; and game night was very successful for Naomi and I as we at least won the junior title for our families while her parents had fun without ranking very high for points total – and entertainment value does not count in the scoring! ;^)
We came home with Mom and Dad after the gaming; the girls took turns with Jacuzzi breaks; and now we’re winding down toward that co-ed sleepover with a Christmas movie. This has been an awesome day, but we will need to sleep soon, and I want to enjoy the cuddle time with Naomi for a while longer; so here is our first Christmas video pick of the season for you to enjoy while we wrap this up and get back to the real world!
