Ethan and Ehlana:
Our second school dance was definitely the adventure highlight since our last update. Mariah might disagree, since her first birthday party was pretty good too, but we weren’t there for long; while Naomi and the Holiday Harmonies played at the dance for about an hour and a half. We were a hit again too; which was why we were also drafted for a song during the Karaoke break later in the evening shortly before Mom picked us up with our gear and brought us home for the night.
Dad got home from the city while we were at the dance, but he was sleeping by the time we got home. Cassie and Michael got back from the Pizzeria by the time we had our gear hauled upstairs; they brought a pizza snack with them; and we enjoyed the food and chat time before heading up to the lounge for the night. The co-ed sofa sleepover was really great; and we wound down toward the nap time with some quality cuddling and a Christmas movie that we didn’t stay awake to see to the credits.
Christmas was still in the air today as we started our day with Tai Chi and a hot breakfast. There were indoor chores to do at three homes for the morning for us while some parents got busy with holiday pre-cooking; and then we’ve had a family-and-friends’ work and play afternoon from lunchtime through to now. Our house was play central, and while we helped with some work too; the parents were happy to let us keep our younger cousins and friends entertained with video gaming and Christmas movies in the lounge. We also did a Christmas craft; and this update is coming to you as we’re soon going to be having a pot-luck dinner with about half of our hometown family plus some friends. Naomi and Aiden are going to do another sleepover with us tonight – partly because Cassie and Michael are going to watch a Christmas movie with us after they get back from helping at the Pizzeria through the dinner rush and a bedtime visit with Jake and his family. They’re too-busy, but seem to be having fun; so we’ll be happy for them – and for whatever time we do get to spend with them while they’re home.
It’s nearly time for us to round up our cousins for dinner, so that’s all for today. We’ll get to that; and leave you with another pair of Christmas songs – the favorite versions of songs that we picked for our own Christmas album. Both songs were very popular at the dance last night; so feel free to dance along wherever you are while reading this update in our future! ;^)
It’s Christmas Now! – JoJo Siwa
It’s Always Been You – Drew Seeley
