Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 11th Anniversary, Uncle Adam and Aunt Leanne!
We do not want or need to include any news about the kid-free night that some of our favorite parents had last night. Our evening ended up starting with a movie; the girls went to bed after that; and Aiden and I took our turn staying up very late while keeping Zack and Eli entertained by playing video games with them pretty much through until they fell asleep in the wee hours of this morning. Missing out on any co-ed sofa sleepover time was a bit sad, but we still had a lot of fun; so the start of our weekend really was pretty good.
Extra exercise buddies made Tai Chi by the river more-fun; the guys helped Dad with cooking breakfast; and then we enjoyed that meal in the sunroom before it was time to get started on a ton of yard and house chores. The weather was awesome all day, so that worked for a chores day too; though we would have liked to have more play time. There was some of that too, but we didn’t get started on the family-and-friends’ play time until dinnertime – mostly because Mom and Dad hosted the anniversary barbeque and play evening.
We were on kid-control for that meal while our aunt and uncle were roasted by their friends, but then we were also put in charge of keeping our cousins and friends entertained after the meal instead of helping with the clean-up. A trip to the park playground worked for that – though some of the kids opted for biking the trails; so we were split up for most of those adventures. There was time for a few games after getting home ahead of the party wrap-up campfire; and the entertainment highlight for that blast of fun was the music time that we provided – along with Naomi and Aiden. Our music is as popular as when Cassie and Michael play and sing at campfires – or anywhere else; so we’ll likely be recruited regularly again this summer!
The campfire wound down starting at eleven o’clock because we all want to get enough sleep to be ready for Mother’s Day – and that’s why we’re wrapping up this report very soon too. Mom and Dad had our help for the post-party clean-up as our guests headed for their homes; it was a bit after midnight by the time we got the work done; and now we’re just winding down with a bit of bedtime computing and our usual twin chat. We are ready to crash and nap now, though, so we’ll do that; and ‘see’ you again sometime tonight – after we get to enjoy all of the Mother’s Day adventures that we have planned for some of our favorite Moms! ;^)
Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
