Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - May 16, 2022

Ethan and Ehlana:

Happy 9th Birthday, Rebekkah Burroughs!

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Reid and Lily Spencer!

Let’s begin this update with the early start to our day while we saw Dad off on his trip to the city.  We were tired, but that was still a little blast of fun; we followed that up with a little nap; and then resumed our Monday with Tai Chi for three by the river; breakfast was standard school day fare; and then we got ready for and headed off to school.  That part of our day began with a cameo bit of birthday fun with Rebekkah; we had a family-friends’ gift for her; and then we got on with our academic adventures.

Nice weather allowed for some extra outdoor time, so those moments were happy parts of our day; and then we chose more play time with our friends after school that included biking and a bit of baseball-practice-watching in support of our cousins and their friends.  Mom had an easy barbeque dinner with cold salad sides for five of us that we enjoyed in the sunroom; we took care of the clean-up; and then Mom did a group Magi lesson with us before we took Silkie for a walk while seeing Naomi and Aiden to their homes.  We did some work in the office with Mom after getting home again; followed that up with bath or Jacuzzi time; and now we’re winding down toward nap time.

Cassie and Michael obviously didn’t make it home today, but do expect to get here by sometime tomorrow afternoon – after Cassie does a last round of meetings in the morning.  We’re looking forward to that; though we will still need to share them a lot – especially over the next few days.  While we’re thinking about collegians, we should also mention that Rowen and Tim are not the only collegians to already be home for the summer – or forever; since some of their high school friends are wrapping up their college careers with their Bachelor’s degrees.  That is of particular importance to us for the friends that are opening new stores in the Galleria, and while they’ve had a lot of help with getting those stores ready to go while still busy at school; they are all now working too and will have their stores ready to open next week – in time for the holiday weekend!

We can bring Reid and Lily into that mix now, and while we weren’t involved in their anniversary celebrations; we have heard that they’ve been doing that around her work in the Galleria.  Lily is co-owner and manager of ‘Break Time’ – the little coffee shop and snack bar that is sure to be a new, popular hang-out especially thanks to the awesome views customers will have with the atrium walkway seating and tables.  Lily has silent partnerships with Miranda and Hannah; so she also has supplies deals with the Inn and Bakery that will help to make sure that her new business will be a success.  We expect that all of the new Galleria stores will be successful; and we’re really looking forward to all of the entertainment we’ll have with our family and friends starting next week with all of those new shopping and entertainment options.

That’s something that we’ll be sure to write about regularly over the next few months and beyond; so stay tuned for those stories!  For now, we’re ready to call it a night and get some sleep; so we will!

Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
