Ethan and Ehlana:
Cassie and Michael – and Rowen and Tim – are in Lexington, Kentucky tonight and for the weekend for a college friends’ wedding. We’ll have more on that with our next report, but for this update; we were involved with that trip while getting up early to see them off to the airport; and we helped them out with some fatigue healing; since they only got to have a nap after spending as much time as they could with Rebecca, Lucas, and Luke last night – through to after the midnight feeding that Cassie helped Rebecca with before wrapping up their visit.
While we were up really early for that round of goodbyes, we followed that up with another nap that Ehlana and Mandy had with Mom while Silkie chose to hang out with me; Tai Chi was by the river and only for three; and then we had a standard school day breakfast. Our school day was fun and not newsworthy; we biked the Quarry Lake trail with our friends after that – all the way to the campground and back; and then our evening has been quiet without any family-and-friends’ events because we all need a break ahead of the upcoming holiday weekend. Mom did an easy-dinner meal with us; we did some work in the office; and then we had some quality wind-down time with Dad after he got home from Crystal Springs and we helped him with unloading the truck and putting his luggage and work gear away. That included watching a show in the living room and a long chat and bedtime snack; and now we’re winding down to nap time with our usual twin chat and bedtime computing.
Compared to a weekend away and wedding celebration, none of that sounds very exciting, but we did have a happy day; and that will help a lot as we head into a cool, potentially-wet, holiday weekend chores-prep weekend that is sure to be high on work and lower on fun. We’ll have more on that over the next couple of reports too, but that’s all for tonight.
Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
