Happy 5th Birthday, Sebastian!
Ethan:
Sebastian’s birthday is the family story of
the day. Our morning began happily with
Tai Chi by the river for seven and breakfast with our favorite collegians. Ehlana and I had fun at school with our
friends too, but Sebastian’s party was the best part of our day. We had to share Cassie, Michael, and May with
the rest of our family, but we ended up spending most of our after-school day
at the Ayres’ home; and we all had a lot of fun celebrating Sebastian’s special
day. Ehlana and I were on kid control
for a lot of that time too, but Cassie, Michael, and May were doing that too;
so we were together most of that time too.
The details for what we did aren’t
important. There were games for
Sebastian and his friends; some outdoor play time thanks to another nice
weather day; and then there were movies and video gaming for our evening
entertainment. The dinner was pizzeria
pizza – the most-popular choice among kids for special occasions; and Olde
Bakery birthday cakes are4 always a hit too.
Sebastian was happy with his gifts too; so everything about his party
was great. We were late getting home, so
we didn’t have time for studying or Magi lessons – especially with May here
too, but Dad had some work to do; so we still spent some time in the office
having a wrap-up bedtime chat before coming up to our rooms for the night.
I got ready for bed right away, but didn’t
try to get in on the bedtime girl chat that Cassie and May had with Ehlana
before Cassie left and caught up with Michael at his house; and now we’re all
ready to crash and get some sleep. That’s
all I have for today; so I’ll wrap this up and get right to that.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
I only have a couple of things to add to
Ethan’s report. First up, we should
report that Cassie, Michael, and May spent a lot of our school day doing
homework with Rowen and Tim at our house and in the office. Cassie has a lot to get done, but while she’s
been doing some of that work already at Michael’s house where she can do more
with the help of her Magi talents; she still has to put on a show while working
with May too. They’ll keep working that
way tomorrow and on Wednesday; and then Cassie will pretend to do the rest of
her work elsewhere and around all of the family and friends holiday fun that
will really get going by Wednesday evening.
Ethan also didn’t mention that Sebastian’s
party was for family and guy-friends; so Cassie, May, and I only had Brianna,
Faith, Leah, and Hailey to help entertain while Sebastian and his buddies did
most of the party games with help from Ethan and Michael. Sure, we played games too, but that wasn’t
the same – and most of the time we did that after the boys had moved on to the
next activity. That was okay with us –
especially when Zack was on a roll while trying to goad the other guys into
acts of extreme weird or grossness!
Okay, I don’t want to comment more on any
of that, since we really have had a good day.
The bedtime chat with Cassie and May was good too; so I’m happy and
ready for my nap now.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
