Welcome home, Mom, Dad, Uncle Adam, and
Aunt Leanne!
Ethan:
That’s the news of the day – that our
parents are home; and we’re back in our own rooms tonight.
We had a good day, and had fun with our
last sleepover of the week, but I’m also tired; and will leave this update to
Ehlana again because Aiden and I were awake much later last night thanks to
Zack and Eli; so I really need to crash and nap now.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
That’s true, and Ethan and Aiden kept Zack
and Eli too-busy to bug Naomi and me all night; so I can do this report for
both of us.
With Zack and Eli there for the night; the
dinner choices were made based on keeping them happy; so it’s a bit scary to do
that and still end up with a meal time that included food and drink games that
were fairly-high on the gross-scale. Our
evening entertainment included Christmas movies and video games, but since the
boys did most of the video gaming; there wasn’t as much cuddle time for the
girls in the house. That did leave us
free to watch chick flicks, and there was some cuddle time here and there; but
that was traded off with pranks and jokes from the two youngest boys in the
house during the gaming breaks. We
watched two movies before Naomi’s parents went to bed; Naomi and I stayed up
for a while and watched the video gaming until we got annoyed with Zack and
Eli; and then we watched another movie in Naomi’s room after that – a movie
that we fell asleep before the end.
We didn’t find out until morning just how
late the boys had stayed up, but since we didn’t have the usual late-night
problems with Zack and Eli; we were mostly just grateful to Ethan and
Aiden. Tae Chi for four was outdoors in
the back yard, and a bit warmer than it has been lately; so that was fun. Breakfast was another meal some of us would
like to forget thanks to Zack and Eli; and then we had fun at church and Sunday
school. Ethan and Aiden were at the
bakery for lunch while I was with Naomi and her family, but then we met up for
a play afternoon that included biking the trails and park playground
adventures. Mom and Dad were running a
bit late with their trip home, but they got home in time for the late buffet;
and we met them at the Inn with the Drapers and Seagers. The Carrington-Johnson hometown clan was
there too; so that was a major family reunion kind of event that was the
entertainment highlight of the day.
After a long travel day, we didn’t drag out
that meal before going home with Mom and Dad.
Ethan and I helped out with unloading the minivan and dealing with some
chores. Mom and Dad both had some work
to get done after that, but used a time phase for most of that work; so Ethan
and I studied while also getting to hear more travel stories; and then we
headed up to our rooms. I had a soak in
my Jacuzzi while Ethan opted for the quick shower; and now I’m in bed and
wrapping up my day with this update. I’ve
loved our week with our best friends, but it’s nice to be home in my bed too;
and I’ve really missed my Jacuzzi! ;^)
I haven’t covered any details for the
parental travel stories, but I’ll either save that up for tomorrow night – or you
can switch to Mom’s and Dad’s journals for those details if I don’t get around
to that when that’d just be second-hand news anyway. They’re home safe; had an awesome trip; and
didn’t have any problems from our favorite Dark Magi Master; so we’ll all be
happy and thankful for all of that. I’ll
be thankful for the sleep tonight too – and for being home, since if Ethan is
still tired in the morning; healing him will be an option that I’ll help him
out with if needed.
The countdown to the Thanksgiving holiday
resumes for us tomorrow too; and we’re really going to start looking forward to
having Cassie, Michael, and May home for that week. There is still lots of fun to have between
now and then, though; so stay tuned for those highlights to this Magi journal
archive channel!
