Ethan:
Life is mostly back to normal already here
at home; though we did get to have bonus entertainment tonight thanks to dinner
here with the Carringtons and some play time with our cousins in the lounge
while the parents had a future plans meeting.
Ehlana and I were at the lab again after school, but kept that play time
shorter because of the dinner and meeting.
Brianna got us to watch some of her favorite animated Christmas shows
tonight too, but Zack needed video games too; so we multi-tasked that using our
portable systems. I don’t know why he
made a big deal of that; since he loves those Christmas shows too – even if he
pretends that he’s too-cool for Elf-on-the-Shelf elves and pets; or any of
Brianna’s favorites.
Ehlana and I were in the office after our
aunt, uncle, and cousins went home; we had work or studying to do in a time
phase; and we got the update from Mom on the meeting and some plans that will
be worked on soon – and over the next couple of years. I’ll leave that news to Ehlana; wrap this up;
and go get some sleep. It’s been a long
day thanks to those extra study hours; and I’m ready to crash and nap.

Mom does archive reports on those meetings;
so I’ll only add one bit of news that is going to be especially-fun for the
girls in town – plans for more shopping!
That’s right, folks – we have an issue with empty apartments above the
stores downtown; Dad and Aunt Leanne are going to recruit Uncle Blaine and
Uncle Terry to redesign the upper floors for two of the buildings – including the
one with Dad’s office – into a second-floor shopping galleria and third-floor,
higher-end loft apartments; and they hope to get that done over the next couple
of years or so.
I’m good with more shopping options; we’ll
love extra chances to see more of our aunts and uncles if they need to make
extra trips here for that work; and this will be great for our town too. Sure, it isn’t as great as putting the entire
town indoors would be like we’ve joked about after visiting the Rec Center at
Cassie’s college; but it will be indoor shopping for a handful of stores; and a
great hang-out place for teens year-round – just in time for us to hit the
tween-teen stage! ;^)
There were many other plans discussed
tonight, since that will be the last meeting of the year, but most of those
ideas are either longer-term; or things that we’ll save up writing about until
closer to when they’ll be happening. The
excitement will continue for a long time; and that shouldn’t surprise anyone
when we are talking about the lead-up to an Ascension of the Light. New shopping options might not seem like a
big deal from that perspective, but I can assure you that some of us cannot
imagine that amazing future without great shopping and other awesome
entertainment options.
