Ethan:
If this was an audio or video journal; I
might be stuttering while thawing out – and I need to warm up soon because we’re
taking a break between the festival fun and our movie and sleepover night.
Regardless of our feelings on the cool
weather, we really can’t complain today – especially when other places like
North Dakota are dealing with snow storms today. We didn’t end up getting more than a sprinkle
of rain today, and while the high temperature only reached the mid-forties and
started and ended around freezing; we’ve still had an awesome day!
Ehlana and Naomi made sure that we spent a
lot of our time today in the pavilion tents and keeping warm as possible until
we got to the warmest part of the day, and while that wasn’t as exciting as
midway rides; we enjoyed the shows and actually taking time to enjoy all of the
exhibits. We did start going on the
midway rides and playing the games this afternoon, and thanks to crossing an
important height limit this year; we were able to go on all but two of the rides
this year. That made our adventures more
fun; and we went on all of the new rides available to us this year at least
once. That doesn’t sound like much, but
it is supposed to be a bit warmer over the weekend; and we expect to have more
fun in the midway when we won’t quite freeze while on those rides.
Our fun level went up – not down – when our
parents joined us; though not all of our parents could do that with us while
busy at the bakery or salon. We will get
to spend time with Naomi’s and Aiden’s parents this weekend too, but that’ll
still be juggled with their work too.
For tonight, we did more rides with some of our favorite adults – including
grandparents, aunts, and uncles; played more games; had dinner at the festival;
and eventually attended the dance for about an hour and a half before coming
home for the night.
That’ll do for my news of the day, since I
really do want to get to the cuddle time with Naomi and the movie or two that
we’re going to watch tonight. A sofa
sleepover might happen too – if we can get away with it, and I won’t apologize
for liking that idea a lot; since we are eight; and we’re not at all interested
in the sort of things that might be a worry for some teens.
I’ll let you know when that changes in a
few years – or maybe not! ;^)
If there’s anything fun to report for the
rest of our night, I’ll include that in the next update, but that’s all for
tonight; and I’m moving on to that movie and cuddle time right now.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Let’s go with that; and I’ll do a double
update tomorrow night.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
