Ethan:
We planned on a make-up day at the lab
after school, but there’s rain in the forecast for tomorrow, and it was a
beautiful day; so we switched things up and biked and played at the park with
our friends instead. That’s made for a
great afternoon; our school day was pretty good too; and then we’ve kept busy
and entertained with Mom and Dad since coming home for dinner with that meal
and a work and study evening in the office.
Add in a bedtime walk with Silkie; and that’s my news for the day.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Ethan isn’t as oblivious as most boys our
age; so he’s intentionally left the rest of the news for today for me to cover.
The fall festival is up first; and the news
that the girls were most-interested in was related to getting dates for that
weekend – or at least for the Friday play day and evening dance. I’m thinking about asking Aiden to go with
me, since after the teasing we got yesterday at the birthday dinner; we’re sure
to get razzed about going on a date or three to the fall festival too. While the girls were interested in those
stories; some of the guys are already busy speculating on what rides we’ll get
for the midway this year, and when they weren’t busy with that; they were
talking Halloween and early plans for costumes.
Miles apparently needs to do even better than last year, but even though
his Dad is very talented; I’ll hope that they don’t make every costume bigger
and better each year or by the time we’re in high school; he’ll need to stay
outdoors all day while wearing it!
Okay, Miles likely just wishes that he
could have a costume that towered over the school, but if that could happen; it’d
be Miles or one of the boys like him to figure out how – or at least how to
talk a parent into building the costume for him.
Moving along, the older girls are having
more fun with the dating scene, but then they also have the school Halloween dance
to go along with the festival and Haunted Halloween events for dating
opportunities; so this will be a busy month.
Naomi and I are not years ahead of the other girls our age, but she’ll
be happy if she gets to go on a date or five this month too – hint, hint! The fall and Halloween themes are starting
around school today – and around town; since the nice weather was a decorating
opportunity for some of our neighbors.
There wasn’t enough of that going on to get us touring the town after
school instead of riding the trails, but Halloween decorations in our little
town are always fun – if not as extreme as you sometimes see on television.
I guess there isn’t much to add for now,
but I’m sure there will be a lot to write about in the coming days and weeks;
so stay tuned for all of the happy, fall and Halloween fun while I wrap this up
and get some sleep.
