Ehlana and Ethan:
This is an early update because Aiden is hosting the study night and a co-ed sleepover for his five best friends. Our top news of the day is that Cassie and Michael have headed out on their work trip; and we went to say goodbye to them before we headed to school – though they still had a bit of time to go before needing to head for the airport and their first flight to the west coast. Mom has also taken possession of Mandy; and she’ll be staying with us for the first week or so before starting to take turns with Faith, Brianna, and others while her favorite people are away. The rest of our day-so-far hasn’t been newsworthy – we’ve mostly just done review for the mid-term exams that start on Monday. Aiden needs help with getting ready for the incoming friends, though, so we need to wrap this up and head over there soon.
For the world news report, let’s just mention that there are stories about new peace talks and plans for Ukraine and the Middle East that we don’t expect to actually be serious; Greenland could become a fight that ends NATO if our military actually tries to take it by force and Denmark tries to invoke NATO protection rights to defend their territory; and there is no positive news out of Venezuela or Iran as everyone waits to see what our leaders and military will do beyond the politics and posturing.
