Happy 2nd Anniversary, Caleb and Erica Palmer!
While Michael’s cousins are likely having a happy day, we didn’t see them at all; and their family celebration happened yesterday – along with the post-wedding fun for Caleb’s family.
Our day hasn’t been that kind of fun, but it has been a good one with a work morning at the lab or archives; a play afternoon that included biking the trails, swimming, and catching part of Brianna and Faith’s ball practice. Naomi and Aiden are here with us tonight because we wanted to do another co-ed sofa sleepover, but after having dinner with Mom and Dad, we also had a music practice for the band; and we’re probably going to book a session at the studio to record a song or two – as suggested to us thanks to Cassie and Michael’s visit to see the Terracotta soldiers and museum. By the way, we can report that the weather in that part of China is a bit hotter than here this week, but that isn’t getting in the way of their work; and they’ve enjoyed the outdoor time when sightseeing too.
In addition to our evening music fun, Mom did a group Magi lesson with us; bath or Jacuzzi time kept us busy for a while; and we’ve been winding down with movies and cuddle time since moving into the lounge for the rest of the night.

We don’t have the details yet, but will get time at breakfast tomorrow; so we’re simply reporting that Cassie and Michael have had their first fight with a Dark Magi Master that they instigated by going to meet with him. Shen Hu is the head of the only Dark Magi family in China; Cassie and Michael had set up a meeting with him that he wanted to have because they’ve been messing with his corporation through some of their business and charity projects. Thanks to what we can sense from them, we know that they won and weren’t even mildly-injured, but it is still early-afternoon there; and we can’t talk with them directly quite yet. They did text their love for us and we sent our love back to them the same way, but there are reasons to wait – including the fact that we need some sleep. Stay tuned; since there will be more to this story!

We’ve stayed up later than we should have, but the cuddle time was worth the lack of sleep, and we’re all very happy; so we’ll just help ourselves out with some Magi-powered healing in the morning if needed. It is time to get some rest, though, so we’re out of here!
