Ethan and Ehlana:
I am going to make this another short update because at least one of us is tired after a long shopping day and the football game that we watched tonight in support of Jeremy – and Kaitlyn. We’re set for clothes and most of our supplies for school; enjoyed a couple of fast food meals including the one we took to go for the trip home. The girls did some more shopping around town after we got back, but Aiden and I headed to the school and caught most of the game. Our team got the win, but it was close; and against one of the teams that we’re still competitive against. That was great for our school, and we’re happy for our team and their fans; so let’s go with the happy today and not think about our chances for the rest of the season!
We came home after the game and don’t have Naomi and Aiden with us tonight because they needed to be at their own homes tonight. I’ve already put my new gear away, and this update is coming to you while Ehlana is finishing up with her post-shopping fun. This isn’t exactly ending up as a short update; so let’s move along to the Cassie and Michael update.
There is really only one top story for them – a problem they had after walking away from one of their business deals after finding out that their partners for that deal had been coerced into adding other partners that were, to be blunt, criminals. Those bad guys didn’t take that very well; sent a gang of six young thugs to force Cassie and Michael to go back and sign the deal; and that didn’t end well for those goons. Cassie and Michael didn’t waste much time with idle chat – they just defeated all six of the guys; and they didn’t have any trouble with the crooks after that – at least so far. They are now spending their last day working in Changsha; and will be on a late-afternoon high-speed train to their final stop of the trip – Shanghai. We love the sound of that, since it also means that they’ll be home soon! We still have a weekend of fun ahead of us before they’ll be back next Tuesday, so we need to wrap this up; and then get some sleep.
This has been an awesome day – and I’ll admit that for the shopping too even if that isn’t as much fun for me as it is for Mom and Ehlana. Naomi gets some credit because I do love the bonus hugs and kisses that go along with carrying shopping bags and other, less-tangible help like smiles or blushes that the girls find very entertaining. Okay, that’s definitely enough for tonight; so we’re out of here.
