Ethan, Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden:
We’ve moved our sleepover location to Aiden’s house, but have our computers with us tonight because we’ve been busy today; and needed to catch up on our usual bedtime computing and a bit of family business work.
Beginning from the end of our last report, we had a blast at dinner and with the park play time while we took care of a small gang of younger cousins and kids while our favorite co-ed team had another convincing win. That is a bit different than most seasons, but we don’t really have any explanation for why the Warriors are so much better than the other teams. The nineteen-to-ten score could have been worse too, but our team coasted through the final couple of innings. Some of the adults went out to Sheldon’s last night, so we did a bit of babysitting at Naomi’s house too before getting around to the co-ed sleepover part of our day; and the cuddle-and-movie time that we ended the day with was definitely a highlight!
While we did a lot of the major chores around our homes yesterday, there was more to do today – extra work at our house; and some indoor chores at Cassie and Michael’s house. Mom set us free to play for the afternoon, so we went biking and took a couple of swim breaks along the way. Dad is busy getting ready for his week in the city, so we re-packed overnight bags by late afternoon; headed for Aiden’s house; and helped out with making dinner while his Mom stayed at the bakery until closing. That meal was fun and we took care of the clean-up before moving on to some music fun that was the main entertainment for Aiden’s parents, sister, and Leah. We haven’t really decided anything new for our little band, but we are tossing around ideas for another album, music videos, and possible gigs for school dances or at other events like the Halloween walk. We have already decided not to enter the fall festival talent competition again, but we might be interested in offering to play a set at one of the dances. We’ll have more on all of that sometime in the coming weeks and months, but the news for today related to our music is simply that we had fun with entertaining our little audience for a couple of hours; and then we moved on to a movie with bonus cuddle time for the couples in the house. Aiden’s parents, sister, and Leah have gone to bed now, and we have another movie playing while multi-tasking the bedtime computing, cuddling, and chat time. We’re going to want to get some sleep soon too, but before we go there; let’s do a quick Cassie and Michael update.
It is Sunday in China. Cassie and Michael are taking the day off for sightseeing, and while we’re sure that they’re having fun with their visit to Qinghai Lake, and it is a popular tourist attraction as the largest salt water lake in China; we don’t expect any major excitement – unless Cassie and Michael actually run into the Qinghai Monster! That would be awesome if possible, but they’ll still manage to have a good day with the ‘normal’ attractions and the outdoor play time. We should also mention again that they are visiting one of the cooler parts of China, and they’re enjoying that because their next stop is going to be much-hotter. Their flight to Chengdu is Sunday evening their time, and they won’t arrive at their hotel until around midnight; so they’ll be having another long day before getting back to work on Monday.
Okay, that’s enough for tonight. We’re tired; I want to put my computer away and focus more on cuddling with Naomi; and falling asleep before the end of the movie is a definite possibility!
