Happy 10th Birthday, Drew Spencer!
This update is early because we want to put our computers away for the night; and we can do this now while Naomi and Aiden are busy pacing overnight bags for the co-ed sofa sleepover we’re going to have tonight after helping out with the usual co-ed ball practice kid control needs.
It has been another triple-digit heat day, so we’ve also had a similar day-so-far to yesterday. Ehlana and I had fun at the lab or archives this morning; we’ve just finished a lazy play afternoon in or near the river; and Naomi and Aiden will be back here in time for dinner with Mom and Dad. We need to help Mom with that work; so let’s offer a quick update for Cassie and Michael; and then get back to the ‘real’ world!
First up, Cassie and Michael had a blast at the zoo on their Wednesday, and then they had dinner and spent the evening with May’s parents. That’ll be their only chance to visit with them; and they all loved getting to talk about May while Cassie and Michael also got to see where May grew up – both her home and the community. They met some neighbors and friends too, but we didn’t have time to get into any details for that with them because they’ve been sleeping through our Wednesday-so-far; and we might not even talk to them during the start to their Thursday while they get back to work again and we’ll be busy at the park. They have another project site visit booked for Thursday; so they’re excited about that – and everything they’ll be doing through the end of their work week.
As usual, we’ll keep you posted on the basics for their adventures, but that’s all for today; and we really need to go now.

P.S. Yes, it has been quieter around here this afternoon while Drew’s friends are all at his birthday party and camping night, but we haven’t been involved; and we’ll hope for the best for everyone that is stuck with hanging around with that gang of boys – especially through dinner and their camping plans for the rest of the night! ;^)
