Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - March 8, 2022

Ethan and Ehlana:

We’ve had a long, busy day without much news to report.  It was cold this morning; didn’t warm up very much above freezing; and that’s why we stayed indoors at school and went to play at the lab or archives after school.  We were late for dinner, and Mom and Dad didn’t wait for us this time; so we were on our own for that meal; and then we worked in the office and did a Magi lesson with Mom before she sent us up to bed at ten-thirty.  The work was all family business related; and Mom is getting a lot of help right now as we collectively deal with problems that are being caused all over the world by both the war in Ukraine and the sanctions being dumped on Russia.  The escalations continue so far this week, and if our world leaders don’t get a clue soon; they will likely crash the global economy within weeks or months – if they haven’t already done that with the damage they’ve already caused.

News flash – if you’re rich, expensive energy and other commodities doesn’t really bother you at all, but for the majority of the people in the world; big price increases mean the difference between surviving and starving or freezing to death.

While another rant about political stupidity is warranted, we don’t want to go there tonight; so we won’t.  Everyone working with our family businesses are doing what we can to help wherever we can, but we have a lot of limits; and will hope that many others will join in to help around the world.  Let’s also hope and pray that our politicians will come to their senses too, but that hasn’t happened yet; and we’re feeling a bit pessimistic about that happening anytime soon.  Instead of continuing that train of thought, Ehlana and I are just going to wrap this up; put our computers away; call it a night; and hope for better tomorrow.

Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
