Happy 42nd Birthday, Hannah Draper!
This update is early because we have a birthday dinner to go to soon; and then we will have Naomi and Aiden here for a sleepover so that Aiden’s parents get a kid-free night. There isn’t really a lot of news to report for our day-so-far. The rain has continued with just a dash or two of snow because it is colder too. We stayed indoors at school; just got home from a short visit to the lab; and have been getting ready for both the dinner and our sleepover. The party and best-friends’ time stories can wait for the next update; so that’s all we have for our own news of the day.
We do want to add a Covid milestone that was hit in our country today – one million deaths. It will be years or decades before we actually get accurate data on either cases or deaths – along with everything else related to the pandemic, but that is a big number; and one that was noticed by a lot of people. The current new cases level in our country is much lower right now, but as we keep seeing; that doesn’t mean that we won’t continue to have new waves; and new variants are still quite probable too. That isn’t ha happy thought to leave this update on while moving on to a birthday celebration, but it is where we’ll be wrapping this up because we need to get back to the real world now; so we’re out of here.
