Happy 47th Birthday, Claire Norton!
Congratulations, Lily and Reid Spencer – you’re pregnant!
The baby news gets mentioned here because Lily and Reid are high school friends of Cassie’s and Michael’s; and we’re also paying attention because of Lily’s involvement in the Galleria – as one of the store owners. We’ve heard that she’s stressed about the baby news because they didn’t plan on having their second child quite so soon, but we also know that she’ll have lots of support from family and friends with her cafe when that assistance will be needed later this year.
Since we’re thinking about that, we should also mention that a lot of work is going on at the Galleria for the stores; Spring Breaks for collegians involved are being used as opportunities to work on their stores; and the countdown is on to both the end of college for those people and the opening of the Galleria during the week before the Memorial Day holiday weekend. We don’t get much inside knowledge of that work or tours of the Galleria, but some of our friends do; so they keep us up-to-date; and we’re all getting excited about the new shopping options.
Our day has been quiet compared to birthday, baby, or new store excitement. It has been raining for most of the day; we were indoors for all of our academic adventures; and played at the lab after school. Mom and Dad had a birthday dinner to attend for Claire, so we ended up taking a picnic dinner with us; worked in the lab or archives until nearly-eight; and then Mom and Dad came and gave us a ride home after they were finished at the Inn. We’ve had more work in the office since getting home; Mom did a Magi lesson with us; and now we’re tired out again and ready to crash and nap for the rest of the night.
That is an option; so we are going to simply wrap this up now and go do that!
