Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 11th Birthday, Jayden!
Our cousin has had a happy day; we only
helped him out with that during a breakfast video chat; and it’s possible that
Jaimie and Kaitlyn had more fun than their younger brother because Micah and
Jeremy went there for the weekend – ostensibly to be there to help out with
Jayden’s birthday adventures. We’re sure
that another weekend with their girlfriends had nothing to do with the
motivation behind another trip so soon after March Break – not!
Our news from home isn’t that exciting –
including the movie last night that Cassie fell asleep during because she has
been pushing too-hard lately and is worn down even more than we knew. While our evening ended without much quality
time with Cassie, we did watch the full movie after Michael carried his wife to
their room; and the co-ed sofa sleepover was great too. It was cold this morning, so Tai Chi was
indoors again; the food that went along with that breakfast video chat was
good; and then our adventures at church and Sunday school were highlighted by
everything to do with Cassie and Michael being home for the first time since
the Christmas break. It didn’t warm up
much today – only into the high forties; so while we did spend some time
outdoors this afternoon; we didn’t go biking; and the family walk was more
about getting some fresh air while Dad took a break from his afternoon
break. We had a fairly-large gang of
family and friends with us for the late buffet at the Inn – including Miranda
and Jacob; Ehlana and I were in charge of the younger kids in our group while
Cassie and Michael were busy with their parents, uncles, and aunts; and that
was both fun and challenging because Zack and Eli were in fine form tonight and
pushed the boundaries a bit while trying to impress some of their friends that
were also in the main dining room tonight.
After coming home from the Inn, Mom and Dad
needed to do more work in the office; we were sent upstairs for bath or Jacuzzi
time; and Cassie and Michael have been with Sierra, Ryan, and the kids’ parents
at Jake and Stephanie’s house. We’re
wishing for more time with Cassie and Michael, but sharing them continues to be
a challenge for us; and we don’t want to make that harder for Cassie – especially
when she obviously really needs a chance to rest up for the push to the end of
the semester.
None of that has really added up to
anything near extreme excitement, but we have had a good day; so we’ll be
grateful for that as we wrap this up; call it a night; and go get some sleep.
Until next time, this little blast from
your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana
Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
