Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - July 7, 2021

Ethan and Ehlana:

Happy 9th Anniversary, Jared and Amy Spencer!

We’re at home tonight and will be sleeping in our beds instead of camping with our cousins and friends.  Our night off from camping was decided due to risk of thunderstorms today, but that has also allowed Mom and Dad to get a night off from a gang of kids; and our cousins are happy to do sleepovers with various aunts, uncles, and cousins.  We’ve been happy to spend a night with Mom, Dad, and May – especially since May will be heading out on her next trip soon; though we don’t really have anything newsworthy to write about beyond that we had fun with the music, movie, and chat time.

Backing up to yesterday for a minute, we were a bit too-busy before and during dinner.  In addition to the work we helped out with, we had to eat early; get to our ball practices; and then we got back in time for dessert and then to help out with the clean-up.  Our evening fun included some games and a swim break; the campfire was our entertainment highlight; and then the camping began with some quiet chat and co-ed cuddle time in the boys’ tent while Brianna and Faith were already sleeping in their tent.

Today began with Tai Chi by the river and the too-busy breakfast; we packed up the campground after that; and then the rest of our play day included a long bike ride; a picnic at the park; and lots of swim and play breaks in the river.  A minor thunderstorm late this afternoon gave us the opportunity to head indoors and have our cousins pack overnight bags for their sleepovers ahead of dinnertime; and the only other news we have is that the co-ed ball practices were cancelled due to the thunderstorm risks.

That worked for us tonight, but we’ve already mentioned our quiet evening with Mom, Dad, and May; so that’s pretty much all we have for this report.  We should also take advantage of the early bedtime opportunity, so we’ll skip writing about anything else for world or extended family news.  Moving on to nap time starting right now works for us too; so, until next time...

...this is Ethan and Ehlana Proctor; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
