Ethan and Ehlana:
The top family news of the day is that we had outgoing guests. May left for the airport; and our youngest cousins were reunited with their parents. The big family buffet dinner at the Inn was the entertainment highlight of the day; and we pretty much just played for the afternoon after a busy morning that followed our sleepovers and crazy-busy breakfast adventures. We’re having a quiet evening at home with Mom and Dad tonight; so that’s pretty much all of the news we have for today.
We do want to add a bit about our sleepovers last night, but you probably won’t need to guess which group of kids, teens, and parents kept themselves entertained with a few Hallmark Christmas in July chick flicks while the other group opted for video games and blow-stuff-up movies. The guys ended up at the Carringtons’ home last night because Leah wanted a turn hosting the girls; and Aunt Deborah was good with that plan too. Most of the Moms helped her out with that – including Liz leading the team for mini-makeovers. The Dads were with Uncle Adam; and we have no doubt that they got the worst of the deal; since Zack and Eli were in fine form last night and tried their very best to impress our cousins and friends. Girls’ and guys’ nights didn’t work out for the summertime couples, but our cousins will survive a night away from those boys or girls that they’ve been spending a lot of time with over the first week of their visit with us. We all stayed up too-late whether watching chick flicks or gaming; and that is only news because we’re ready to crash and nap early tonight and will do that because we can.
