Ethan and Ehlana:
Our day began very early while seeing Dad off on his trip to the city, so we’re tired; and heading to bed early tonight because we can do that. After having a bonus nap with Mom and Silkie, Tai Chi by the river and breakfast for three helped to make for a happy morning; and then we were drafted for more chores for a couple of hours before Mom set us free to play for the rest of the day.
Naomi and Aiden met up with us then; we packed a picnic lunch; and then hit the trails with our bikes. We had a small group of our friends come along for those adventures; our trail ride included riding the new trail out as far as it is finished so far on the way to Quarry Lake; and we had our picnic back at the park so that we could go swimming in the river to cool off after that first couple of hours of biking. Playing and biking at the park continued until we needed to be at Faith’s ballgame-practice – the second in a row for the t-ball players after trying to catch up on their games from the rain delays from previous weeks. Faith’s team won again, and one of our quietest cousins is also proving to be a fiery competitor with a lot of natural talent for sports. We should mention that Brianna’s practice went well too, but we haven’t tried to stop in for her practices too while Faith needed the support more than Brianna and her team mates.
Mom only had her own kids with her for dinner tonight. Our best friends are with their own families again tonight – mostly because their parents have been teasing them about how much time they’ve spent with us and our family over the past two weeks. We should definitely spend more time with the Seagers and Drapers, but with three of their parents busy six and seven days a week with work; making that happen is easier hoped-for than done.
Moving along, Mom did a Magi lesson with us after dinner; we took Silkie for a walk and some front porch visits; and then bath or Jacuzzi time was early too – for all four of us; since I was assigned the job of giving Silkie a bath. We don’t usually write about pet care issues in our journal, but that’s usually because we don’t think of that any differently than we think about our daily personal care activities. I can mention that Silkie is a normal, happy dog; and our Magi talents and ability to communicate with her make it easy for us to do things like doggie bath time without having any problems.
That is all we have for tonight, and we’re ready to get some sleep now; so, until next time...
