Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 14th Birthday, Jeremy Green!
This is a double-update; so let’s start from Tuesday afternoon.
Our baseball practices were good, but not newsworthy – except for how much we love the weekly pizzeria pizza picnic that continues through the first and second rounds of practices. We had a gang for a swim break when we got home; set up our tent; and wrapped up our day with a couple of movies and lots of co-ed cuddle time in our tent after Mom went inside for the night and the other kids and parents headed to their homes too.
Tai Chi by the river is always more-fun with Naomi and Aiden, so we’ve had happy starts for yesterday and today. Mom had us do some chores yesterday after breakfast and we set up extra tents for the campers we had with us last night – our cousins; some of their friends; and four teen helpers. After that, we biked and played with our friends for the rest of the day until it was time to get home again and help out with the anniversary barbeque dinner party for Uncle Nick and Aunt Deborah. We were mostly with the kids and teens during that meal while our aunt and uncle were roasted by the other adults. We were on kid control during the co-ed ball practices at the park; and we followed that up with a campfire that the teens led while most of our collective parents went out to Sheldon’s for a couple of hours – or got started on their kid-free night. No details from that side of the night will be provided here! ;^)
That brings us up to today-so-far, and we spent the morning doing some of our usual weekend chores to get ahead of the work because we’re supposed to get a week or so of hotter weather. We packed up most of the tents; and only have one for our co-ed camping tonight. We’ve spent the afternoon on our bikes or swimming in the river; and now we’re split up with Naomi and Aiden while we all get fresh clothes and everything else we need for the night before meeting up for dinner again.
We don’t really have anything special planned for the rest of the day, but we’re okay with a quiet night. That’s also pretty much all we have for this update; so, until next time...
