I’ll leave the Cassie update to Ehlana.
We’re finished our end-of-term testing; it
was time to play and bike with our friends to celebrate once we were set free;
and Naomi and Aiden stayed with us for dinner and the co-ed ballgame at the
park. They’re with us for a sleepover
too, since Aiden and I have our first ballgame in the morning. We’re going to watch a movie next; so I’ll
keep this short and get back to the fun.
Dinner was grilled and easy; Ehlana, Naomi, Aiden, and I helped out with
the younger cousins while we were at the park for the baseball game; and we had
fun with everything except for the part of the adventure where Mom, Dad, and
the Blizzard lost to the Storm Chasers.
That’s all I have for tonight; the cuddle
time and movie is calling; and I’m out of here.

Ehlana:
Cassie’s wrapped up her first week of
summer school, but while she didn’t get any sleep last night; she will be able
to have an early night if she wants to do that tonight. We haven’t talked to her since this morning;
so I haven’t got the news of the day yet.
She’ll be on her own for the weekend too while Michael’s busy at work,
but I’ll guess that she’s already worked up plans to study or maybe even hang
out with her news friends; so she’ll likely have fun too – even if that isn’t
baseball and play time level entertainment.
***Restricted Access Update***
I can also report that Cassie hasn’t had
any other problems with Gwyneth’s goons; so maybe they’re too busy healing up
from their attack last night. We doubt
that they’ll learn their lesson from what happened; so we haven’t likely seen
the last of them. Mom has all of Cassie’s
information from last night too, but we haven’t been able to talk to her about
anything she may have done with it so far – particularly when it comes to the
connections Cassie made with the mercenaries’ office and system.
On the funny front, I can add that Aunt
Leanne teased us about it being Cassie’s fault that the Blizzard lost the game
tonight because Mom, Dad, and Uncle Adam were too tired after the power drain
last night. She saved those jokes for
once we were home, but while that isn’t actually true; it is why Mom and Dad
didn’t go out to play with their team mates tonight.
We’ll add more on this story if we hear
anything new; but Cassie’s already moved on; and isn’t even going to feel bad
for the injured bad guys.

Ethan’s only covered the basics for today,
but the details don’t really matter. Our
school year is done except for the final play week; we’ve had a good night; and
now we’re going to watch a movie and possibly fall asleep before it ends. Naomi would be okay with that – especially if
she’d get to cuddle with Ethan all night.
I’ll let you know whether that works out
for her – them – or not with the next report, but that’s all for now; and I’ll
wrap this up and move on to the movie time now too.
