Ethan:
It was all fun and games for us today – at school;
home; and at the Inn for the final game night ahead of the summer break. Even our Magi lesson was more play than work;
and now I’m ready to crash and nap – which is why I’ll leave it up to Ehlana to
decide what to add for any details. We’ll
be done school for the summer by early-afternoon tomorrow; so I want to be
rested up and ready for a weekend full of fun.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Our play day at school was brilliant; and
we also did very well at the games and earned a few prizes and awards along the
way – with the ‘we’ including Naomi and Aiden; since we teamed up with them
whenever that was possible. I couldn’t
do that with Naomi as often because we’re in different classes, and Ethan
teamed up with me sometimes too, but while it’s fun to win; we all did have to
play normal too. Winning every game –
even against teens – just isn’t an option for us.
Playing at the lab after school didn’t end
up being an option because our friends wanted us to bike and play with them
instead. We went along with that because
it’s been a great weather day too; and we can always play at the lab more than
normal starting next week. Mom and Dad
went with an easy dinner that included grilled hot dogs and burgers; the last
game night of the ‘season’ was fun – even without any junior championships for
Ethan or me; and the Magi lesson was followed by some quality Jacuzzi time for
me while Ethan opted for the quick shower instead of tub time.
I love my Jacuzzi!
We’re also down to one more sleep before
summer holidays; and I’m ready to get some sleep too.
The only additions to this update that I’ll
make before doing that is to note that Cassie has not likely had as much fun
today as we have with her second long day of classes of the week; and we don’t
have any details yet because she’s too busy to chat with us tonight – at least
so far; and we’ll be sleeping soon anyway.
Finally, I also want to mention that our school year ends sooner than
for other schools and districts, but that’s farm-related for part of it; and
because our teachers have the extra work or training during the weeks before
and after the school year instead of adding in days for professional
development during the rest of the year.
That works for us, and while other kids and teens might be jealous of us
for being done a week or two sooner in June; we sometimes feel that way right
back when they get the extra long weekends that we don’t get to have
instead. It all works out, though; and
isn’t really a big deal. I’m just
mentioning it because we will hear about it a bit over the next few weeks from
relatives and vacationing visitors – particularly over the Fourth of July
holiday.
Okay, that’s all for me; so I’m back to the
real world and ready to get to sleep.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
