Ehlana isn’t here; so nothing happened
today! ;^)
Okay, that’s not true; so let’s get to the
news of the day.
Tai Chi by the river was fun thanks to
Brianna taking Ehlana’s place for the day; she kept us entertained while having
breakfast; and then she took care of Mandy – and Silkie – while I went to play
in the archives this morning and Mom and Dad had work at the office or
home. Brianna was with us for lunch, but
then she had a play date with friends; and I met up with Aiden and our usual
gang of friends for biking the trails and park play time. River swims were part of the fun; we had an
Emporium ice cream break; and then Aiden was with me for dinner ahead of our
ball practice.
We had a quiet evening at home after that –
though Brianna stopped in to make sure that Mandy had everything she needed for
the night; and she’ll be back for at least one more sleepover later this
week. She’s planning on daily visits and
play time with Mandy too; so she’s taking her kitty-sitting responsibilities
very seriously! Mom did a Magi lesson
with me tonight; we studied or worked in the office; and then I grabbed a
shower before coming to bed because I needed it after the biking and baseball.
That’s all of my news for today, but I’m
sure that Ehlana’s had more fun – and will have the more-interesting update.

Ehlana:
We have had a great first day here with
Cassie and Michael!
Tai Chi was very different with so many
neighbors watching the show. Breakfast
at the Grill and Griddle was fun – if not as good as at the Inn; and then Naomi
and I kept Michael entertained all day while Cassie was busy with mid-term
exams. We did some chores and shopping,
but there was also play time; we took lunch and dinner to Cassie and her study
buddies and had those meals with them; and Michael took us to the rec center to
play for the afternoon. After dinner, we
went to the movies while Cassie had her English mid-term and class. Naomi and I picked Aladdin over the other
animated options, and while we’ll want to see the new Toy Story and Secret Life
of Pets movies too; we’re very glad that we got to see Aladdin on a big screen.
We picked up Cassie from the college after
the movie – and her class; headed for home; and then Cassie and Michael both
had work to do while Naomi and I watched a movie before heading to bed for the
night. Cassie and Michael are still
working as I’m writing this, but we’re not going to stay up that late; and
Cassie expects to have late nights every day this week. Naomi’s done taking her turn getting ready for
bed, so I’ll wrap this up; have a short girl chat with her; and then we’ll both
get some sleep so that we’ll be ready for Day Two of our adventures with Cassie
and Michael!
