Happy 1st Birthday, Clarissa Norton!
Happy 25th Birthday, Nora Roberts!
Ehlana and I had fun with our friends last night and that’s especially-true for Naomi and me while being so-happy to be back together again. That was true for Sophia and Aaron too, but then all of our classmates were happy to be home from Washington.
Waking up with Naomi this morning was special too, and so was Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with our friends and Mom and Dad. The chores we needed to do after that weren’t as much fun, but we were motivated thanks to a great weather day; and we got everything done at four homes by noon – including the lawn mowing we did at Cassie and Michael’s house while they’re still away. Mom and Dad set us free after lunch, so we went for a bike ride on the trails with our friends and some cousins. The high today topped eighty, so after a few hours out on the southern trail and the loop around town, we jumped in the river to cool off after getting home; and now Ehlana and I are getting ready for our respective sleepovers with Aiden or Naomi. You don’t need to guess which house we’ll be at, and Naomi even scared Eli enough that he’s going to be with Zack tonight instead of trying to mess up our co-ed sleepover plans! We haven’t heard whether Hailey will make other plans for tonight too, but she might just for the entertainment factor – and despite the fact that Ehlana and Aiden were together for our trip!
We need to get going soon, but before we do; here’s a bit of world news. There may or may not be a ceasefire in effect between India and Pakistan. A agreement was supposedly reached, but there have been reports of multiple violations within hours of when it was supposed to start; and we’ll just wait to see whether cooler heads prevail or whether this is another case of all talk and no action. The ‘diplomacy’ for the Ukraine war has become total nonsense as ‘our’ side is basically demanding Russia’s surrender despite the fact that they are ‘winning’ the war in Ukraine. Ditto that for negotiations with Iran that amount to telling Iran to do everything we say or we’ll kill and bomb you into the Stone Age. That won’t end well for anyone either, but as with everything else there isn’t anything we can to do intervene; so we will just hope for better and get back to enjoying the love and life that we’re so blessed to share with our family and friends.
Since that is going to include co-ed fun nights and sleepover with our favorite perfect matches; we’ll get started on that right now! ;^)
