Ehlana and Ethan:
Forget the presidential election or any other news story anywhere in the world – I get to have the top story of the day because we’ve cured cancer!
Okay, we have a tentative cure and will need to do a lot of testing and follow-up research, but I know for sure tonight that we’ve succeeded without the need to actively help with our Magi talents; so it is just a matter of time before we’ll be able to first produce small quantities of what will be a variety of treatment methods that will depend on the type of cancer being cured; and then we’ll need decades to scale up to worldwide supplies. Nobody reading this will have any of the new, ‘normal’ ideas of how this sort of thing should work, but it really can’t or shouldn’t happen the way that the Covid vaccines were rolled out; and we’ll make sure that there are no serious or dangerous side-effects to our cure before giving it to anyone. Yes, that takes longer and that can be frustrating, but that’s much better than getting it wrong and doing more harm than good.
I’ll place our accomplishments in the lab today far-ahead of winning some political un-popularity contest on the historical scale of things – though maybe I’ll concede otherwise if our incumbent president, senators, and congress-critters shock us all and actually do some good for us and in the world!
Ethan and I have had another late night thanks to staying late at the lab, so while I’m a bit fired up right now; we’ll try to get some sleep soon too. Let’s also add that Ethan worked with me for a few hours tonight – including sometimes as one of my test subjects, and while he might joke about it; I can assure Naomi that he isn’t actually permanently changed by my cure; and I’m only joking in return about finding a cure for his bad sense of humor!
Moving along, I’ll have more on my cancer cure as we continue to develop and test it; so keep an eye out for that in the coming months either here or in my lab projects archives. While we played at the lab or archives, Cassie and Michael have continued their journey through Algeria; and they are changing lives as they go – though this really is just a significant expansion of the work our family business has been working toward for years. They aren’t getting many play breaks and continue to have trouble with local bad guys, but that isn’t slowing them down much; and they are learning a lot that will help us to help our partners to deal with those same problems when we can’t be there to help them directly.
Okay, we can offer more on any other story tomorrow, and I really do need to try and wind down to nap time now; so that’s it for the report on this remember-forever, amazing day!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
