Happy 23rd Birthday, Allen White!
We mention the birthday because Cassie and Michael were planning a cameo visit to Sheldon’s for his birthday party; and they are happy to be home for those moments with their friends after being away for so much of the past five years.
Our day has not been birthday-rated fun. Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with Mom and Dad was good; we studied and reviewed for final tests and exams next week while at school; and then we brought a gang of friends home with us to study tonight. Cassie and Michael came over to help Mom and Dad with feeding everyone at our house – including some aunts, uncles, and cousins; and we didn’t have to do any of the cooking or clean-up because we studied instead. There were some breaks to cool off in the river or have frozen treats, but we did study too; and helped our friends to get ready for next week for both sixth and seventh-grade classmates.
Cassie and Michael moved on to game night at the Inn after helping with the clean-up, but Mom and Dad opted to stay and supervise or work in the office. We did hear that Cassie and Michael won the senior title tonight, but only because Miranda and Jacob stopped by on their way home to tease Mom about it while having a short visit with them too. We were only allowed to study until nine-thirty, so we followed that up with a walk with Silkie that also allowed us to spend a few extra minutes with Naomi and Aiden while walking them to their homes. Bath or Jacuzzi time followed, and Mom didn’t let us do extra work tonight.
That’s why we’re ready to wrap this up and get some sleep now without a really late night, but we need to take it a bit easier when we can; since we have some very busy weeks coming up this summer – starting with exams week in just a few days. No, we’re not worried about them at all, but we will play the parts and help our friends; so we are going to be busy! That’s all we have, and we really are ready to sleep now; so we’re out of here!
