Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - June 14, 2023

Ethan and Ehlana:

We’re just two days away from our summer break and we’ll be playing both days; so we need to get some sleep soon and rest up for the annual play day and need to keep this update relatively-short.

Going back to yesterday, after collecting Naomi and Aiden along the way and heading over to Cassie and Michael’s house; they went with us for a bike ride on the trails.  We had fun with that for an hour or so, and then we met up at the park with most of our local family for the Pizzeria pizza picnic dinner that we enjoyed ahead of our ball practice.  With Mom and Dad away, Cassie and Michael were our guest coaches tonight, and we had extra spectators while the earlier-practice cousins and others took their turns to eat while we entertained them.  We had fun with our practices; and then biked back to Cassie and Michael’s house.

Taking turns grabbing showers and getting ready for bed for four of us was up next; and then we watched a movie in the amazing family room.  Cassie and Michael have a big screen and projector that is like the one we have in the lounge, but in the bigger room; it works better.  The movie was good, but we really loved the quiet chat time with them.  Cassie and Michael went to bed after the movie; we stayed up a bit later; and eventually got around to our co-ed sofa sleepover – definitely a favorite part of our day!

This morning, Tai Chi by the river and a special breakfast-for-six made for a great start to our day; we moved on to finish the last bits of work and cleaning around the school and had some bonus outdoor time; and then Ehlana and I had a visit with Mom before we headed to the lab or archives for some work while Naomi and Aiden were busy with their families either at home or the bakery.  We didn’t stay late at the lab because Mom wanted us home in time to have dinner and then go to the park for the co-ed ball practices.  We were there to help out with younger cousins – especially the babies and toddlers, but we also got to spend some extra time with Cassie and Michael; so that was great too.  Since getting home, we took bath or Jacuzzi breaks; Mom wouldn’t let us do any family business work or a Magi lesson; and we’re heading for our beds early so that we’ll be ready for the big play day.  We’re including Mom for that, since she’s running one of the booths for the morning, but then she’s tired after a long couple of days that included a fair bit of driving to go along with the anniversary dinner in Woodvale; the five-star sleepover with Dad; and the supply shopping.

That’s all we have for tonight too, and we really do need to catch up on our sleep if we don’t want to need self-healing in the morning; so we’re out of here!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
