Ethan and Ehlana:
We’ve had another great weather day; and both the work and fun kept us busy and happy all day too. Tai Chi by the river with Mom and Dad followed by a standard weekday breakfast worked for us; we went on to spend the morning play-working at the lab or archives; and then our afternoon fun was similar to yesterday with a picnic lunch, biking, and swimming through until we needed to be at the park for baseball practices and our Pizzeria pizza picnic dinner. The play time with our friends was awesome; we had good ball practices with our teams; and food from the Pizzeria is always a hit with our favorite people.
The rest of our day since getting home has been quick and short because Mom wouldn’t let us do any work tonight. She sent us upstairs for bath or Jacuzzi time; and we’re going to bed early to get extra sleep while we can ahead of our birthday and the shopping trip that will keep us busy on Thursday and Friday. Before we get to the nap time; let’s include just a bit of news from Cassie – about their college friends. At the top of our list, May and Lee are continuing their honeymoon and trek across Europe toward their future in Georgia. A lot of people might worry about those plans considering the war in Ukraine, but we know they are going to be fine and love their adventures and work. We don’t need to go into the details for the rest of their friends, but Madelana and Stefan are getting set up to work for some family businesses and charities as a team the same way that Cassie and Michael are – without fighting any bad guys on the side. The rest of their friends are settling around the country, and we’re happy for all of them – whether they’re looking for high-powered jobs in Washington or hoping for quieter lives in small towns. Cassie and Michael are helping most of them in various ways; and most of those friends don’t even know that is happening because we’re doing that through family businesses or even charities with project grants. Xia and Marcus are a good example for the latter; and that’ll be true for Jaimie and Micah both this summer and from now on as they get into environmental engineering too.
Okay, that’s enough for tonight. We really want the extra sleep, and that is an option; so we’re out of here.
