Happy 42nd Birthday, Dad!
While the post-election news continues to dominate the attention of the adults even here in our little town; we’ve had fun today – both with Dad’s birthday and our home-school-day adventures. The weather has been awesome again; so we’ve spent extra time outdoors – including while studying and doing our online lessons.
Tai Chi by the river was good; Dad’s birthday breakfast was a blast – especially the video chats with Cassie and Michael and our grandparents. Dad came home for lunch too, so that was another bit of birthday fun; and we’ll be continuing the adventures tonight with a birthday dinner. Mom and Dad are getting a kid-free night too, so there might not end up being much evening entertainment that includes them for us, but we’re going to have a blast with Naomi and Aiden while not thinking about what they might be doing while we’re gone! ;^)
This update is coming to you between the biking we just finished at the park and the pre-dinner work we’re about the get started on next; so that’s all we’ll have for this report. While it currently looks as though we’ll have a new President-elect, the legal battles are already beginning; and it may take days or weeks before that will be decided. That isn’t something that we’re thinking about tonight – not that we expect anything to change in Washington anyway; since nothing else has really changed with the power balance with this election.
We’ll continue to do our best around here while hoping that our federal government won’t get in our way too much; move on; and get back to the birthday fun with our family and friends!
