Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - July 24, 2020

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 16th Anniversary, Uncle Terry and Aunt Angela!
Happy 13th Birthday, Ryan Bassett!

We don’t actually have much news for either event so far today – though we did meet up with the happy couple for breakfast at the Inn this morning – in part because the parents involved didn’t want to cook a major breakfast for the campers in our back yard – especially on a work day.

The dinner, play time, and camping last night was all really great – though the boys were in one tent with Marcus; and Valerie was in the girls’ tent.  There were extra cousins camping with us too; so those parents included the Carrington’s, Everett’s, and Ayres’ in the gang we had at the Inn this morning.  Quite a few of the parents had to work today, so Mom and Aunt Angela were the ‘hosts’ for our play day.  We spent a lot of that time at the park or on the trails; there was a lot of swimming in the river at our house; one short canoe ride for some of the kids – not including us; and an easy-lunch of mini-subs and cold-salad sides.

We’ll be getting to the anniversary barbeque dinner in another hour or so; a campfire is likely to be the top entertainment tonight – or at least that’ll be true for the kids; and we won’t write about anything we wouldn’t want to know about for any of our parents when it comes to their idea for kid-free fun! ;^)

This update is early because we don’t want to be computing later with Valerie and Marcus around; so the news for that dinner, the campfire, and camping night number two will have to wait for tomorrow.  We can write about Ryan’s birthday fun too, but won’t really be involved in that – other than having Sophia with us tonight while Ryan and his friends are having a party and camping night at his house.

Okay, we need to get back to having fun with our cousins and friends now; so we’re out of here.

This is Ehlana and Ethan Proctor; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
