Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - July 10, 2020

Ehlana and Ethan:

This is another early, short update because we’re having girls’ and guys’ sleepovers night; so we won’t be together for the rest of the day after dinner.  The rain and storms moved on by this morning, but more are on the way again tonight; so the sleepovers are the back-up plan to the camping we can’t do again tonight.

We’ve had a fun play day that included a pizzeria pizza lunch, swimming, biking, games, and only a bit of canoeing.  The family-and-friends’ barbeque dinner will be starting in an hour or so – at least for the socializing; and we’re currently getting ready for the sleepovers.  Thanks to Cassie and May, the girls will be here at our house; while the guys will be at Uncle Nick and Aunt Deborah’s home.  That seems a bit weird, since they don’t do that very often, but then that’s likely why they’re doing it tonight – because they’re due for a turn.

That’s pretty much all for today for the news here at home, but before we wrap this up; we’ll make a quick pandemic update; since that continues to be something we think about a lot even when we’re having fun.  New daily cases records are being set again this week both worldwide and here in our country.  While that’s bad news; there is some hope as we learn more about the virus and do better with treating patients – which is improving the chances of survival for even the most-serious cases.  We are heading into the weekend, so let’s not get into the not-so-great news about the coronavirus today; and save that for another time.

We’re going to get back to the fun again now; and we’ll include the rest of the news for today with our next report.

This is Ehlana and Ethan Proctor; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
