Ethan:
We went to school; played at the lab or
archives; and had a work and study evening at home with Mom and Dad after
dinner. That doesn’t add up to an
exciting report, but we had a good day; and got a lot done.
Ehlana’s non-rant on our time and calendar
systems had me thinking about that today while playing in the archives – where we
have records of every time system ever used by humans. I agree that our current system could use a
major overhaul that probably won’t happen anytime soon, but while there have
been more-accurate systems used by ancient cultures; there have been far-worse
too. I won’t go into the details, since
hardly anyone would find that history lesson at all interesting, but then my
point in bringing it up at all is that those systems do change and evolve – or devolve
– over time for reasons that can be valid or completely-ridiculous.
I’ll stop there; wrap this up; and move on
to the sleeping part of my day.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
When you’re done researching those historic
date-time systems; feel free to design a better one for us to replace the
current system with, Ethan! ;^)
I don’t actually have any news to report
from home. Cassie and Michael are having
fun, but we’re too-young to hear – or write – about the best parts of their
lives; and there isn’t anything exciting to include in this update for their
classes and studies. That is something
that I should comment on, since that lack of news is a big difference from a
year ago. Cassie really isn’t having any
of the ‘normal’ problems that are normal for beautiful college girls so far
this semester. That is great for them, and
we have mentioned our sense and foresight that suggested we would get this
break from danger, but we’re a bit surprised that the lack of any trouble has
extended to everyday situations instead of just being related to a break from
Dark Magi issues.
Let’s hope that writing about that doesn’t
jinx things for any of us!
That would be Halloween-scary, but let’s
move on – which for me means wrapping up this update and getting some sleep.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
