Ethan:
Aiden and I were up early for Tai Chi in
Miles’ back yard, but the other guys all slept until ordered to get up; and
then breakfast was a bit scary as Miles felt the need to resume the party games
with more ‘fun’ food feats that only had me wondering how some of our friends
managed to get through church and Sunday school without getting sick. I’m sure that the girls were glad that they
missed that – since Miles’ Mom and sister assured us that they wished that they’d
been anywhere else during that meal.
Don’t get me wrong – Aiden and I still had
fun this morning – even with the added rush of getting packed up and to church
on-time – which, apparently, is something that Miles is not all that
enthusiastic about on most Sundays. We
did get there with minutes to spare; stayed together through Sunday school; and
then I went home with Mom, Dad, and Ehlana to drop off my bag and so that we
could get changed before going over to Brianna’s house to help out with their
camp clean-up – which mostly meant packing up the tents and a few other
chores. We got that done by lunchtime;
had that meal with Mom and Dad; and then headed for the lab with Mom while Dad
got to work in the office. We played at
the lab or archives all afternoon; went home in time to cook and eat dinner;
and then we wrapped up our weekend with a movie in the lounge that Mom and Dad
joined us for before we got ready for bed starting with Jacuzzi or tub time.
That’s my news for the day; it’s a school
night; and I’m ready to crash after staying up late last night – so I will.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
I had more fun with Tai Chi by the river
with Naomi, Brianna, Uncle Adam, and Aunt Leanne than Ethan and Aiden likely
did; and we won’t comment on why Mom and Dad might have skipped their morning
workout by the river. Uncle Adam cooked
breakfast for us while we had fun getting ready for church; Naomi and I got to
hear too-much about the rest of Miles’ party while at Sunday school; and I’m
glad that we got to be at the lab this afternoon. Naomi and Aiden were busy with their families
anyway; so our play options were going to be limited – and at least one of us
didn’t need to spend more time around some of the guys our age. Ethan does pretty well most of the time, but
it sometimes takes days for the guys to get back to normal after a day of
hanging out together without the girls there to keep them from turning into
Neanderthals.
Ethan’s covered the basics for the rest of
our day, if not any details, but then we were just happy to spend a few quiet
hours with Mom and Dad tonight where we didn’t have anything important to do
for work or anything else. We had a
short vid-chat with Cassie and Michael, but while they’ve had a good weekend;
the birthday party on Friday was their entertainment highlight; they studied a
lot during the rest of the weekend; and were heading to bed early for reasons I
don’t need to write about here; since they didn’t seem to be
particularly-tired! ;^)
Okay, that’s all for me. My Jacuzzi time has been a great way to end
the day, and while I wasn’t up as late as Ethan was last night, we do have a
full week of school ahead of us; and I need the sleep to keep up with
everything we’ll be doing at school, the lab, and with our family and friends
play time.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
