Ethan:
It is quiet around here today – by comparison
to the weekend and last week.
Our school day was uneventful – at least
for me. Ehlana and Naomi had lots of fun
with their girl chat gossip from our trip – and catching up on what we missed
from around here while away. Ehlana and
I worked at the lab after school; Mom met us there with a picnic dinner; and we
stayed and played there instead of going home and working and studying
there. That was fun – and something we
could do while Dad’s in the city anyway.
We went home at nine-thirty; took Silkie for a walk; and then came up to
bed for the night. Some time-phasing was
involved with our work at the lab; so I’m ready to crash and nap now – and will.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
That is all we have from home, but Ethan’s
again leaving the latest Cassie news to me.
She didn’t have to wait long for Philippe
to resume stalking her – he showed up at the pool for their early-morning swim,
and while he stayed away from her, he still watched her constantly the entire
time she was in and around the pool; and then he watched her constantly
whenever possible during classes – and following her around even when he had no
reason to be anywhere near her. He did
that all day and even into the evening; hanging around while Cassie was in her
evening class; and then following Cassie and Rowen from that class to the
parking garage.
None of that is fun for Cassie – and it isn’t
right that she needs to have so much support from her friends just to keep
Philippe from pestering her every chance he gets. He didn’t get that chance to talk with her
yet, but he will; and Cassie is really hoping that it will not escalate into
anything serious – which it very well could if Philippe doesn’t get a grip soon
and take her ‘no’ as a permanent, irrevocable answer. Either way, though, she is going to need to
deal with him. Her workload is
tough-enough without pointless, unwanted distractions; and life is just going
to get busier for Cassie as she moves into the spring and starts getting ready
to take the extra testing that will allow her to finish her sophomore year by
the end of the summer session.
Stay tuned for more on that drama – we know
that Cassie really won’t put up with all of that nonsense for much longer!
That’s all I have for tonight, and while
our day here at home was boring by comparison; I’ll take that over dealing with
people like Philippe any day. I am so
glad that we really don’t have that kind of thing happen around our little
town.
I don’t want to go to sleep thinking about
things like that, so I’m out of here; and off to thinking about anything that
will be nicer to dream about – like coming up with my next great cure or springtime
fun with our friends.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
