Ethan:
I’m going to keep my update short; and
leave the details to Ehlana.
We got here – to the townhouses – last night;
the parents in our group stayed for an hour or so and then headed on to the
hotel to get started on their weekend getaway; and we watched a movie before
Aiden and I went home with Michael and Tim for the night. Tai Chi for six this morning was awesome; we
met up with the parents for breakfast; and then came back to Cassie and Rowen’s
townhouse so that she could study while having a first wedding plans chat. Tim,
Aiden, and I played video games while the studying, work, and chat was going
on; and then we went out for lunch at shopping at the mall. Our favorite collegians had extra friends
come out to play at the mall with us; we had dinner at a surf-and-turf
restaurant; and then the parents went back to the hotel with plans to go out
for some grown-up fun while we – the teens and kids – went to play at the rec
center for a couple of hours. We wrapped
up our night with take-out pizza bedtime snacks; and now it’s time to get some
sleep again.
Our visit is going to be over too-soon, but
we did get to be here; so I’m glad that we’ve been able to have the extra visit
– even if the reason for the trip wasn’t good at all. We do still have a half-day or so to spend
with Cassie, Michael, Rowen, and Tim, though, and I want to be ready for
whatever we end up doing; so I’m out of here and off to get some rest.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
That was surprisingly-complete for an
update with no details, Ethan! ;^)
For the girls’ side of this report, we had
fun last night with the girl chat; Naomi and I ended up spending the night with
Cassie and Mandy; and the wedding chat highlight is that Cassie and Michael
picked a date – the Saturday after her final exams for the summer session. That’ll give them two weeks for a honeymoon
before they’ll head back to college for the fall session. That’s going to be a bit of a rush for
Cassie, since she’ll have exams on that Friday too and then need to drive home,
but she’s a Magi Master; and will manage to keep up with everything – and maybe
still have some energy left over for that honeymoon!
The fast food lunch was as mediocre as
always – yet most of us still love the guilty pleasure; the shopping – and post-Valentine’s-Day
sales were awesome; and have I mentioned that I really wish that we had an
indoor pool at home in my updates lately?
Getting to have any of that kind of fun in the winter was awesome; and
now we’ve wrapped up the night with our pizza snack; some tub time; and just a
bit of girl chat time. Naomi and I are
in the guest bedroom tonight; we’re ready to get some sleep; and I’m going to
wrap this up and put my toys away so that we can turn out the light and get on
with the napping part of our night.
We are running out of time too-fast for
this visit, but we’ve had a wonderful time so far; and that’s all that matters –
not the amount of time we get to have together.
That time together thing is going to be an issue for us for quite a
while; so I should just stop writing about that sort of thing entirely; since
there isn’t much we can do about it – unless Mom and Cassie want to start using
time-phasing every day.
I’d better not think about that too-much,
since doing that to get a few extra days with Cassie is very tempting right
now. That is something I won’t mention
to Cassie for any future honeymoon discussions; though I’m sure she could work
that idea out for herself anyway without my help.
Okay, that really is it; and I’m out of
here.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
