*** Ethan and Ehlana – Confidential Update!
***
Our reprieve from Gwyneth Hathorne and her
hired goons ended early this morning with an attack on Michael and Tim’s
townhouse. There’s nothing funny about
the apparent plan to hurt Cassie through her friends, but sending two very
beautiful – if deadly – mercenaries after Michael and Tim had issues involved
that Ethan and I do not really even want to think about.
We’ll leave the details for that plan to
others to write about; though we’ll skip the details we haven’t been given as
to why Cassie just happened to be in Michael’s room while Tim was,
conveniently, not in any danger at all while with Rowen in the other
townhouse. That will be something to
have fun with eventually, but it isn’t funny right now – and the roommate swap
timing was fortunate; since Cassie woke up when the danger warnings hit her. That gave Cassie and Michael time to get
ready for the attack; though the situation was still very dangerous for them.
We don’t really want to report on the plan ‘B’
that Gwyneth suggested for Cassie and Michael after finding out that the
original plan was messed up, but we do need to include the basics; or the rest
of the this report won’t make much sense.
It’s still awful to know that a Dark Magi Master our own age can be so
awful. Gwyneth thought that it would be
fun to set up a scene where Michael would end up dead after getting ‘caught’ in
a compromising position; Cassie was to be made to look like a botched suicide;
and then, apparently, be framed for Michael’s murder.
I’m sure that you can guess that Cassie and
Michael had a problem with that; and took steps from there. They won that fight, but Cassie got shot in
the shoulder in the process; they were both cut several times in the hand-to-hand
combat that followed after Cassie disarmed the two women; and Cassie eventually
had to knock them both out because Michael doesn’t hit girls – even really bad
ones! I know that still isn’t funny –
though it is and will be once we get past the fact that two of the people we
love-most were in such danger.
That was the end of the fight, though, and
Gwyneth was apparently very disappointed, but the mercenaries didn’t try
sending in another team; and Cassie and Michael got help from Tim and Rowen to
deal with the two unconscious women.
Starting Valentine’s Day like that was tough on Cassie and Michael, but
they are okay; and that’s all that really matters.
Stay tuned; there’s sure to be more details
– along with the regular Valentine’s Day news.
*** End of Confidential Update ***
Ethan:
Happy Valentine’s Day!
That seems weird to write considering the
problems that Cassie and Michael had early this morning. If that’s a Dark Magi Master’s idea of
sending a Valentine to someone; then we’ll hope that Gwyneth never sends
another one to us ever!
The top news of the morning – other than
that story, is that Mom, Dad, Ehlana, and I have decided to go and visit our
favorite collegians this weekend – and our cover for the visit is a romantic
Valentine’s weekend getaway for Mom and Dad while we stay with Cassie and
Michael. They were happy with that news
when we talked to them before breakfast; they invited Naomi and Aiden to come
with us; and that addition to the plan has already been approved by their
parents. There may also be a bonus
surprise for Cassie and Michael; since we’ve heard that Jake and Stephanie are
going to convince Jacob and Miranda to come along with us – which they could do
because we’ll need to take two vehicles anyway so that Dad can head for Crystal
Springs on Sunday so that he doesn’t have to come home and then turn around and
drive to the city on Monday morning.
While on the vid-chat; Cassie opened her
gifts from us; we had gifts from them to open too; and then we had a special
holiday breakfast before school or work.
I had gifts for Naomi this morning – including a roses delivery; and I
didn’t mind taking the hit to my reputation from the guys from doing that – and
from a few public hugs and kisses with Naomi.
We had the usual Valentine’s Day fun at school – exchanging Valentines
and having a party in the afternoon. We
had lots of treats and watched a movie as part of the party; and then we came
home for the rest of the day – after side trips to pick up overnight bags for
Naomi and Aiden.
We had a snack break with Mom; played in
the lounge; and then we eventually sent Mom and Dad out on their date to the
Inn and pub before having a romantic dinner for four in the sunroom while our
babysitter first pretended to be our server and then went to have her own
dinner for two in the dining room with her boyfriend. Names are being skipped because Mom and Dad
are going to pretend that they don’t know about the boyfriend visit – though that’s
for the benefit of the tweens involved; not because they had a problem with an
extra, unpaid babysitter.
Our dinner really was special – if kid-rated
for the food and desserts. The movies
and cuddle time in the lounge was awesome too, and while our babysitter checked
up on us regularly; she watched other shows in the living room – with her
boyfriend at first; and then on her own later while having some quality
text-time with some of her girlfriends.
Naomi and Ehlana picked the movies, but took it easy on Aiden and me; so
there was lots of action to go along with the romance. We were allowed to stay up late; we’ll all
pretend that Mom and Dad don’t know that; and after we were sent to bed; Aiden and
I still snuck out of our room for some bonus chat and cuddle time with Ehlana
and Naomi on Ehlana’s bed.
We’re in separate rooms now – and no, we’re
not having co-ed sleepovers. Aiden’s
sleeping now as I write thing; and I’m ready to crash and nap now too. It’s strange to have had such an awesome day
despite the early-morning problems for Cassie and Michael, but we have had an
amazing Valentine’s Day; and now we’re going to get to follow that up with an
awesome weekend getaway!
That’s all I have for tonight, but read on
into my future; since we really are going to have even more fun than we
expected – which is really weird in a way; since we have Gwyneth Hathorne to
thank for that change in plans.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
Happy Valentine’s Day too.
It’s a good thing that Cassie got engaged
for her birthday. With all of her
classes today and the studying she needed to get done tonight; there’s a very
good chance that Ethan and I are having a more-exciting Valentine’s Day than
she’s having – not including that whole middle-of-the-night fight with the bad
guys thing.
Ethan has covered the news highlights from
home; so I’ll only add some girls’ perspective and then Naomi and I need to get
some sleep too – especially since we really should be sleeping before Mom and
Dad get home.
The gifts we each got from our future
boyfriends were great, but the other girls think that we’re lucky because Ethan
and Aiden are willing to do things like that openly and just take the hit to
their reputations – while other guys like Miles and Joshua are basically the
opposite of that when it comes to girls.
Sure, we all know that’ll change in another five or six years – or longer
for Miles, but those differences do mean a lot to Naomi and me now. We were definitely the only two couples in
our classes to be spending the night together, and while we had help with the
food; Ethan didn’t mention that he and Aiden personally took care of setting
the table and having the extra, holiday-themed treats and bonus surprises for
us at dinner and then during the movies.
Aiden and I are still tentative when it
comes to cuddle time, but the practice tonight helped; and we had fun watching
Naomi and Ethan; since they’re becoming experts at cuddling and even sharing a
few chaste little kisses here and there too.
That could get weird for us once we’re teens, but I’m not going to think
about that now; and I’ve always known that Ethan and I will have to deal with
some strange issues because of the twin thing.
While I don’t want to go there, I should
mention that this is our first Valentine’s Day since forging our connections
with each other last Halloween; and that affected us too – in a good way. That’s impacting Ethan and Naomi more than
Aiden and me, but it does have something to do with why we’re getting more
comfortable with being together too; since we can sense those normally-unseen
emotional lines.
Note to me – as Cassie about that with
Michael and their new connection – in about ten years; when I’ll be old-enough
for that kind of conversation with my big sister! ;^)
Okay, I guess that’s all for tonight. I’ll rank this as one of our best Valentine’s
Days so far – even with the problems that Cassie and Michael had this
morning. I know that isn’t saying much
at our age, but it is true anyway; and I’m glad that we got to share all of the
love and joy with our family and friends – even when we had to do some of that
through vid-chats.
We’ll make up for that a bit this weekend;
and I can hardly wait to see Cassie, Michael, Rowen, and Tim again. That’s another good reason to get started on
the sleep part of our night; so Naomi and I are going to get to that right now.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
