Ethan and Ehlana:
Starting November with a sunny day and high temperature touching eighty degrees for an hour or two is awesome – at least for our little corner of the world! The post-Halloween gossip recaps kept us busy at school, but we also managed to move on to new learning modules; clean up the Halloween decorations and projects; and have some bonus outdoor fun that included a science experiment and a math assignment. Despite needing to use all of our time after school to practice for the recording session we had booked for tonight, we couldn’t resist the lure for a bike ride on the trails with our usual gang of friends; so we did that for an hour and then came home for the music fun. We extended that to the point where we could only do a snack for dinner; we hauled our gear over to the galleria studio with time to set up for our session; and then we spent two hours laying down three more of the songs we’ll have on our Christmas album.
By the way, the timing might seem normal for readers that don’t know much about the music business, but in actuality, we’re doing these recordings very late; and getting the finished album done – even for a digital album; so we’re really rushing this project to get it done in time to get it out there for this Christmas season.
We’re closing in on half-way done with six songs, and the first three are now mastered and ready to go; so we’re sure that we’ll have it ready to go in time for the Thanksgiving weekend. Since wrapping up that session, we hauled our gear home again; took Silkie for a walk while seeing Naomi and Aiden to their homes; and then we did a Magi lesson with Mom; some family business work; and a bigger snack because we were hungry. Mom ordered us to call it a night at a bit after eleven o’clock; we got ready for bed first; and have been chatting and doing our bedtime computing since then.
While it is getting late, we’ve needed the extra time to wind down from the music fun. It’s time to balance that with our need for sleep and re-charging, so while it is tempting to keep going – including offering more commentary on the news we’ve caught up on from around the world; we won’t do that tonight. Staying in a happy place is better for us, and as-usual, we can’t fix all of the problems in the world; so we’ll be content with what we have done well today – including our own personal happiness and how great life is for pretty much everyone in our town. We can dream of that kind of life for everyone in the world, and since that is also a very happy thought; we’ll wrap this up and maybe those dreams will lead to that future reality! ;^)
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
