Ethan and Ehlana:
The 22nd anniversary of 9/11 isn’t really getting a lot of news attention, and while we continue to offer our condolences and best wishes for everyone still directly-affected by those attacks; we also suggest that too many of our world leaders have learned nothing from those horrific events. We are not going to get into more of that sort of commentary tonight; so let’s move on to our news of the day.
We had a lot of fun last night with the music, family fun, and sleepover at Aiden’s house; Tai Chi by the river this morning helped to get our Sunday off to a great start; we helped out with cooking and the clean-up for a pancakes and sausages breakfast; and then our first church service and Sunday school classes of the new school year kept us busy for the rest of the morning. While Aiden’s parents needed to get to the bakery after church; we ended up having lunch with Mom and Dad – all four of us; and then we went back to Aiden’s house and spent a couple of hours practicing our music while nobody was around to be bothered – I mean entertained – with our music! That is partly a joke, since we are reasonably-talented, but even Magi musicians make mistakes during practices; and we really are just getting started with our new band!
After the music fun, we all went to the lab or archives for a visit without much actual work; and then Naomi needed to get home after that; we picked up Silkie along the way after walking her home so that we could take her for a walk while going with Aiden to the bakery – and picking up a couple of purchases for Mom that she wanted for dinner and school and work lunches next week. Since getting home, we helped Mom with making dinner; we had a vid-chat with Cassie, Michael, Rowen, and Tim during that meal; and then we took care of the clean-up before getting around to a Magi lesson with Mom and some family business work in the office. The work details are covered elsewhere in our archives, so we won’t get into that here, but we did talk about something with Mom and Dad that should get mentioned; since it will affect us over the next few years.
To keep this from getting weird, let’s just report that we won’t be doing many time phases with Mom from now through most of our puberty years. Mom and Cassie have done some calculations based mostly on Cassie’s time phasing from when she was our age through until she was around fifteen, and while the cumulative effects weren’t a serious problem; they believe that we’ll be better-off if we only use time phasing when really necessary. We don’t really have a problem with that plan – though Cassie did have other factors in her life that won’t be the same for us; so time phases were only part of the equation for her tween and teen development. Of course, there is no way that late nights helping out with her adorable twin sibs couldn’t have been one of those development factors! ;^)
That’s pretty much all we have for tonight. After the office fun, we were sent upstairs for bath or Jacuzzi time; and now we’re winding down toward nap time with the usual bedtime computing and twin chat. We’ve had a really good day; and that is going to stay true every day as we add all of the band fun to our daily adventures. We’ll have a lot more on that part of our lives – possibly for years to come now; so try to have fun with those stories; and we’ll try not to get too-repetitive with those news bytes. It really is time to get some sleep now, though, so we’re out of here!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
