Happy 9th Birthday, Eli!
We are still recovering from helping out at Eli’s dinner and party, and since cuddling together and winding down toward a co-ed sofa sleepover will be more-fun than writing a long update tonight; we’re going to stick to that excuse-story! ;^)
Ehlana and I were up early to see Dad off on his trip to the city; the rest of our morning with Mom was quiet – including through our morning workout by the river and breakfast; and then our school day was Monday-normal with the highlights including football talk and weekend gossip. The weather continues to be awesome, so while we went over to Naomi’s house after school and got right to work; Eli’s party included swimming in the river at Zack’s house; games in the back yard; and the Pizzeria pizza dinner was in the back yard too. We don’t want to scare anyone with the details that go along with a gang of boys being led by Zack and Eli through all of that, but Eli’s birthday could easily mark the start of our Halloween season around here and fit right in with the theme! We helped with the clean-up; stayed for a while longer to help Naomi’s parents with keeping the party from getting out of hand as the transition was made from outdoor to indoor fun; and then we were set free to come here once the guys that were spending the night settled in for video gaming while the other guests headed for their homes.
Since getting here, Mom did a Magi lesson with us; we had a band practice; and now we’re watching music videos while enjoying the cuddle time and chatting about everything from the party to band plans. We really are ready to wrap this up without a long commentary about anything; so that’s all for tonight!
