Ethan:
I’m on my own for this update; so let’s keep it short and maybe add more about our day with one of the next couple of reports.
Our day began with Tai Chi by the hotel pool, and while we aren’t the cute little kids we once were; Naomi still earned some laughs – and a bit of money – by putting a hat out to ‘raise money’ for our mini-vacation expenses. For the record, Naomi plans on donating that money and mostly did it for the entertainment value. After that blast of fun, we got ready to go; checked out of our room; and went out for breakfast with Dad before we hit the road again.
We went to pick up Jayden next; had lunch with him – and Uncle Blaine and Aunt Alison; and then we went on to Cassie and Michael’s townhouse.
We’re actually using both townhouses instead of having Mom stay at a hotel; and the girls are with Mom at Rowen and Tim’s townhouse while the guys are with Cassie and Michael. We had time to hang out with Michael for an hour or so; met up with Cassie to go out for dinner and a movie; and we had a lot of fun with both the food and another movie theater visit. Since getting back to the townhouses, we were together for a bedtime snack and drinks break; and while we’re taking turns getting ready for bed; Cassie is next door with the rest of the girls for a longer chat. We all want to get some extra sleep tonight because we’re going to spend the day at Eagle Gorge tomorrow. Cassie has her classes first, but she will meet us out there; and we’ll likely stay until near-dark. I will miss my favorite sleepover cuddle buddy tonight, but Jayden is with us; so that would have been weird for him if Aiden and I had paired up with Ehlana and Naomi tonight. That’s something to think about while Jayden is with us for the next two-and-a-half weeks, and I’ll leave it to the girls to offer commentary on their potential efforts to offer matchmaking for Jayden.
That’s a weird note for a guy to end a journal report, but there isn’t really anything to add; so I’m out of here.
