Ethan and Ehlana:
The hot, sunny weather continued today, but after the usual Tai Chi and breakfast start to our day; we spent the morning indoors and at the lab or archives while our best friends spent that time with their own families – at the bakery for Aiden and at home for Naomi. We have definitely been monopolizing the time of our best friends, and while their families understand; we should probably work on that a bit!
We had a lot of fun with our books or beakers; and then we spent the afternoon biking the trails around town and the park and taking long swim breaks to cool off. We had lots of friends around to hang out with too; so that was a lot of fun. Hanging out with some of our cousins also led to a decision to have a camping night at the Ayres’ home. Uncle Nick and Aunt Deborah must have decided that it was their turn; though dimples, hugs, and kisses might have been involved when Leah and Brianna got approval for the plan.
At least ten sets of parents were involved in the barbeque dinner plans that were also put together by late afternoon; we helped out with that work; and the meal was a blast of busy and fun that wrapped up in time for us to head over to the park for the co-ed ball practice. We were in charge of kid control at the park; so we split our time between the ball diamond bleachers, the playground, and the river.
When we came back from the park, a small campfire was approved and set up; we have had some teen support since then; and many of our favorite adults went out to Sheldon’s Pub for a few hours. Jaimie, Micah, Kaitlyn, and Jeremy are among that group of teens, but they won’t be camping with us. We’ve had fun with the campfire – including the music that we shared and the scary stories from the teens. That’s wrapping up now; and this update is coming to you while we’re collectively taking turns with gettting ready for bed and bathroom breaks at multiple homes. We have a group here with us at our house; so we’re getting this report out of the way – and need to hurry because our cousins and friends are nearly ready to head back over to the campground.
That’s pretty much all we have for today anyway; so we’ll do that and add in any news from the rest of the night in our next update.
Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
